Special procurement key 40

I have added following selections in special procurement key 40

Checked box - Withdrawal from an alternative plant In section AS BOM COMPONENT

Also added ISSUING PLANT

IN BOM OF FINISHED PRODUCT, THIS KEY IS ASSIGNED TO SUBASSEMBLY.

WHEN SALES ORDER FOR FINISHED PRODUCT IS CREATED THEN AFTER MRP SYSTEM DOES NOT CREATE STOCK TRANSPORT REQUISITION IN PLANNING PLANT FOR SUBASSEMBLY. PLANNED ORDER IS CREATED IN PRODUCTION PLANT.

HOW TO HAVE STOCK TRANSPORT REQUISITION IN PLANNING PLANT ??

Hi,

Some hints:

1)

In SPRO > Production > MRP > Master Data > Define Specia Procurement Type you have to maintain:

- receiving plant (V460A-WERKS)

- supplying plant (V460A-WRK02)

- "F" in V460A-BESKZ (Procurement type)

- "U" in RM61P-ESOBS ("Special procurement)

2)

You have to maintain "F"+special procurement type in material master (MRP2 view) OR special procurement type in BOM (item view; STPO-ITSOB)

3)

System should select the right BOM during MRP run

4)

You should use the proper MRP creation indicator (e.g. "1") during MRP run (MD01 / MD02 / MD03)

Hi Csaba Szommer

I have already done setting as mentioned in your hints.

Still it is not creating stock transport requisition in planning plant.

If same key is assigned to material master then it creates stock transport requisition in planning plant.

But it is not creating stock transport requisition in planning plant if we assigned ths key to Bom item.

Are you getting stock transport requisition in planning plant when you assigned key to Bom item?

Hi,

I checked it again and it seems I was mistaken: you cannot choose special procurement type 40 for BOM item (if you can your special procurement is not the copy of standard special procurement key 40; e.g. the issuing plant field (V460A-REWRK) is filled in your case that is not filled in standard sp. pr. key 40. In standard sp. pr. key. only V460A-WRK02 is filled).

So, I think you can maintain it only material master...(or QA - MEQ1/MEQ2)

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/f4/7d2d5a44af11d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm

Prerequisites

You have maintained a special procurement key for stock transfer in Customizing for MRP, in the IMG activity Define special procurement type and you have entered the delivering plant there.

You have assigned this special procurement key to the material in the material master of the receiving plant (MRP 2 view).

You have created a material master for the material in the issuing plant.

I don't know the reason why - and maybe I'm mistaken - but it seems you cannot maintain it for the BOM item.

Csaba

Mayuresh,

Its a simple misunderstanding of the concept of combining Special procurement process.

Example of a business scenario where you can use the combination of Special procurement key(SPK) 40 with 70 can be like,

In Machine Manufacturing company you would have several spare parts which are sold directly to customers and these parts would also be a component in the BOM of Machine. Now if the special procurement key is defined with combination of 40 & 70 as in your case and if the special procurement key is assigned to the spare part material master and also in the BOM Item level details, then following happens based on scenario,

1. When a production order is created for Machine...it would just create a reservation against the supplying plant. Like if the Machine is manufactured in Plant A & Spare Part in Plant B, then in the order components overview you can see that Spare part is reserved with Plant B. Planned orders for Spare Part would be created in Plant B if stock does not exists.

2. If a sales order is created for Spare Part in Plant A, then it would create STO with supplying plant as Plant B.

Hope this helps your understanding,

Hi Prasobh

My requirement is that, I may produce subassembly from planning plant or procure from issuing plant.

That decision will be done at BOM level.

How to map this scenario in SAP??

Hi Prasobh,

Iam having MTO scenario

I have Finished product A and it is made in plant 1000.

It has one component B which may be made in plant 1000 or manufactured from plant 2000

Decision to make in plant 1000 or make it in plant 2000 will be taken in sales order specific production bom by assigning

special procurement at item level to component B.

How to map this scenario in sap.?
