Hi!

Normally the SLD connecton and several other things are done by running the PI Configuration Wizard in NWA after installation of PI. Please check if you have run it and if any problems occurred in it. In every template you can drill down to the single steps and see their results. Even more there is a log file for every template that has been run.

Hi Volker,

We actually did the config manually.

SLD CHECK works fine, all is well till readiness check point 1.8

Testing connectivity between IR and SLD, that s where im facing this error

Hi!

Then please check your Exchange Profile for correct server names. Did you use Fully Qualified Domain Names for your server? If not, please do it! Are all ports defined correctly and released for use by your network guys? You can see the configured ports e.g. in SAP Management Console under "Access Points".

Why did you config manually? Using the wizard makes things much easier - trouble shooting also ...

What is the exact and detailed error message?

Can you find some helpful error entries in defaultTrace.trc?

Hi Teja,

You can try with this roles for these users. For the user PIAPPLUSER you can have the role:

SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER

For the user PIISUSER you can have this roles:

SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR

SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_ABAP

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE

SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER

SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER_MAIN

Hi Ravindra!

I think Satish answered your question. By the way: User PIAPPLUSER is not that critical, because it is just a sample application user you can use as a template for creating own users.

The other users are critical and please do not forget: I you should change the password of any of these users using ABAP transaction SU01 you also have to adjust the Exchange Profile, because there the PI users' passwords are also stored.

Hope all questions are answered now.

Hi,

Check if you have created the RFC & other configuration as mentioned in this doc..

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/8f/770f41218ff023e10000000a155106/content.htm

After applying the configuration mentioned in the above link refresh the cache by sxi_cache..

Secondly also run the transactio code SLDCHECK and see if every thing is ok..
