EHP4 installation stuck during Extraction phase (2nd phase of Ehpi install)

Dear All,

I am installing EHP4 on ERP 6.0, Started EHPI installer successfully with jce_policy-1_5_0.zip but it stuck at extraction phase,

My server has java java version "1.4.2_19-rev",

Unable to execute the SDT request ABAP operation extract on hostname bomw045a instance 00 Extraction of the ABAP upgrade request ABAP has failed Error from unit observer Tool connector failed. Dear All,

I downloaded JVM 1.5 and restarted the installed, installation continued.

EHPI brings its own JVM no matter which one you have downloaded/installed.

whiile runnuing SAPup, it prompts "ERROR: This SAPup version 31.000 is no longer supported. Replace SAPup with at least version SAPup version 31.004"

replaced with SAPup7107_12-20004321.SAR. when i tried to restart getting the error

tried re-instaling Java.

Current env

SAP 4.7 Ora 10G on Win2003 x64

Are you using the correct EHPI executable for your platform? (if Intel or AMD 64bit check that you don't download the IA64 package).

Hi Dharmesh,

Check if the permission are correct to the folders especially the EHPI dir, second thing you would want to see is the port 4240 if its been used by any other services. You can use the command netstat -n to check the current active port, not sure how to filter the output in windows, i have performed the installaitons on unix. Hope this will help.
