What is a HTTP system?

I see the word "http system" frequently , i.e.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e1/977231e5f2394587955e8a6526739c/content.htm

But what SAP system can be a http system? ABAP, JAVA, ABAP+JAVA, content server?

And, how to become an HTTP system?

Please advise. Thanks a lot!

You need to addd the profile parameter in the RZ10 profile to become the http and Https system.

    icm/server_port_<01> = PROT=HTTP, PORT=80$$, TIMEOUT=15

    icm/server_port_<02> = PROT=HTTPS, PORT=443$$, TIMEOUT=15, PROCTIMEOUT=45, VCLIENT=0

Then you need restart the sap system.

After thet if you want to activate the HTTPS port you need to place sapcrypto lib file and set the sapcrypto parameters in the profile again.

you can activate these services in smicm>>>>>>services>>>>>>>>> and activate the services.

    thanks

you might be referring this link w.r.t to knowledge managment.

However, in general, an ABAP ECC system becomes an HTTP enabled system when http service is enabled on it.

In SMICM, you can acivate and configure http and https services and port etc. Try to refer the following link and it's subtrees
