Hi SAP Guru

If we have 10 company co codes, in which we created 9 operative chart of accounts for 9 company codes and for last company code we created country chart of accounts and we assign all company codes to one group company... can we get the reports for 10 company codes ?

Hi,

What is common in all these company codes? does each company code has different chart of accounts or 9 company codes uses same chart of accounts as its operative accounts.

If you have same chart of account as operative chart of account in all 9 company codes, Even for the company code for which the country chart of accounts created, assign the same operative chart of account so that u can get uniform reports.

If each company uses a completely different chart of accounts from each other, then what commonality/uniform u deriving by generating reports?

Hi Srini,

I think he uses same COA for all the 9 co codes. One co code needs some local COA for local country specific reporting. It does not mean that he cant use the same COA. So consolidation point of view the COA will be commonality . However he can use the local reporting by using the Local COA defined in addition to the COA in OBY6.

SO in short there should not be any difficulty in consolidation . However for local reporting he may have to map the COA to the local coa one to one basis or one to Many depend on the case.
