Steps to change the benefit rates

I am new to benefits module in SAP. The rates of Health and Insurance plans are due for change, we need to update the new rates in the system ASAP.

DO we need to delimit the old records?

Can anybody help me in finding the steps to do this entire activity. How much time it would take?
