How to Set Up Email alert for Process chains status. Both Success and Failure?

Hi Experts,

My Requirement is I want to set up email alert for BW Process chains whether Success or Failure.

I followed below steps as per document.

This can be perfectely done using Tcode ALRTCATDEF.

1. go to ALRTCATDEF

2. select classification "Process Chains"

3. click on display/change

4. double-click on "error in a process of a process chain"

5. click on "fixed recipients"

6. write in your username (you have to maintain your e-mail address in SU01 for that to work)

7. save

8. go to your process chain (rspc)

9. go into edit mode

10. from the menu, select Process chain -> attributes -> alerting

11. check "send alerts if errors occur".

Still I am not getting any result as desired.

Could you please let me know If I am missing any thing or any setting in SMTP or SCOT which I need to do. I have not configured SMTP. Kindly help me solving this.

You have to configure SMTP. I think BASIS team has to do that.

Once its configured, You can check the status of emails in SOST tcode once you triggered the emails.
