Generally in SAP there are different types of project can be handled like Implementation, Support, upgrade.
Implementaion:- Client may not have SAP system. They need to map all requirement from their legacy system to SAP system. Then depending on their requirement, you need to configure via Tcode SPRO which will be available in the drop down for selection for end users. Sp that it will be easy for them to maintain employee data.
Support:- Client already implementated SAP and they are using SAP system While using if they face any problem, then they need support to help.
Upgrade:- generally Client will have SAP system but with lower version. If they want to use higher version for better functionality, then it is upgrade project.
