Display and Download GL Account Hierarchy from S/4HANA

I would like to know how to display and download (active hierarchy version) a fully expanded GL Account hierarchy from S/4HANA (1709). The Fiori app is currently not installed, so I would need a TCode or Information System report that could be used for this requirement.

Thanks for the reply, you provided some helpful information. I have found that I can export a classic list via F.01 but not the ALV grid display. That may have something to do with Security which I will be looking into.

We are hoping to start using Fiori apps soon which we believe will help with this plus some other business reporting requirements out of S/4HANA.

Larry, you might also take a look at SAP Note 2467924. Transaction HRRP_REP (which is also program

FINS_REPLICATION_HIER if you don't have access to the transaction) will copy FSV's into backend tables which are then exposed to frontend tools like Analysis for Office via CDS views. This might get you closer to your requirement of a hierarchical display.

Hi Larry,

We are like you, we haven't started to use the numerous useful S/4 HANA Fiori apps, so I had to look at the SAP Help to see what this app does. I assume you are talking about the “Display Chart of Accounts” app. Realize that there is no default G/L account hierarchy, like there is for cost centers. There are Financial Statement Versions, which are hierarchies of G/L accounts and are used to prepare financial statements (with headings and groupings and subtotals) that are run with F.01 or F.54. FSV's are configured in SPRO and transaction FSE2. Apparently this Fiori app will display hierarchical representations of the accounts configured within any chosen FSV, and allow convenient editing of either the account master data or the FSV.

Transaction FSE3 on the backend is Display Financial Statement Version, but that transaction is rather lacking in functionality. Any of the various Chart of Accounts reports do not allow display or grouping by FSVs.

This closest thing I can come up with is F.01. You can display a hierarchical representation of a FSV by choosing the List Output option of ALV Tree Control, and you can also specify to include zero balance accounts. Of course, if an account has never had postings, it won’t be shown in F.01 so this is not necessarily the same as a master data report that the app would provide. I also didn’t see any download capability when displaying as a hierarchy, because this actually wouldn't make sense, and I doubt the app would allow a hierarchical download either.

You can download the F.01 listing when displaying as a Classical List or ALV grid, because these will download flat listings.
