Copy Costelement between controlling areas

Dear all,

do you know a possibility to copy cost elements from one controlling area to another controlling area?

I have 2 controlling areas and I would like to use a mass copy for arount 500 cost elements from controlling area A to controlling area B.

Not simply support by SAP standard. Instead, two options for you to choose,

One is through costomizing function "automatic creation of primary and secondary cost elements". Define the range of cost element to be created (IMG-> Controlling-> Cost Element Accounting-> Master Data-> Cost Elements-> Auto Creation of Pri/Sec Cost Elements") and then create batch OKB3 and execute the batch SM35 to create the cost elements.

The other is to develop an ABAP program to read the number from a file and call tcode (KA01 or KA06) to create cost elements. And the program is not difficult to develop.

I can not find a create function - I only can create new selection variants. Also how can I copy from one controlling area to another?

Hi,

Use LSMW for the creation based on the csv file. You can take the data from CSKB table and create a transaction recording of KA01 via LSMW.
