    Change this way

DATA: buffer(30000) OCCURS 10 WITH HEADER LINE.

SELECT * FROM (query_table) WHERE (options).
        write : (query_table) to buffer.
        append buffer.
    endselect.

    Hi,

The occurs 10 with header line clause can only be used with internal tables and not with string variables.

    Try declaring something like this.

Data: begin of it_buffer occurs 10,
             field1(300) type c,
             field2(300) type c,
             end of it_buffer.

SELECT * FROM (query_table) INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF table it_buffer WHERE (options).

    Regards,

    Vik
