10901:Database Error for Webi

I get this error when when my webi fails. It has worked fine before. I added 2 new dimensions in the querry from the universe and the report is failing. I made a copy of this eport and added 2 filters without changing the layout it worked fine. But, that report is for something else. I do not need those filters. I even tried to create a brand and that also failed.

10901: Database error: [Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] : Operation canceled. Contact your Business Objects administrator or database supplier for more information. (Error: WIS 10901)

Anyone any idea plzz?

Hi,

Try to execute the same sql with cosmetic changes as per database standards in SQL Server. If you get data then check it in universe level that are objects u r using and whether they have correct swl defined or not.

Hi,

the best way to debug this would be to copy the query generated when the report fails and execute it in some tool like external tools like winsql. The issue might be due to the fact that one of the object that your are using in the report might have a wrong sql defined for it in universe deigner.
