HI,

I understand MCHA-LICHA field in batch record(MSC3N) is a information field only and it is not getting populated automatically with any transaction. Am I correct?

I want to populate this field with some information using user exit.

Please revert if I am wrong.

Is it possible to trace original batch?

We have a batch getting created if you do GR using inbound delivery.

Also we have a different batch from issue plant location.

I want to trace this batch which was selected during GI.

Its a typically a senario of CC STO.

I dont think it is typical that a batch number gets changed with a goods receipt. if a company uses batch managment and shares mateial, then usually the same batch number is adopted and is extended to the receiving plant

during goods receipt. this would save a lot logistics work, as you would not need to relable the goods.

I would say it is not possible to trace this in a convinient way, but you may test MB56 transaction
