Simulation Run of MRP

Dear All,

please explain if anyone knows that how can we have simulation MRP run.

scenario is that:

i want to run MRP based on PIR in simulation run.purpose is just to analyze results.

but actual MRP will be run on sales order based.make to order.

is it possible, if yes then how??
