Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me? We create reservation from PM order adding components to the order, at the moment we save the order and the reservation is created, we would like to have the reservation created only on release not just save/outstanding orders.
I have tried to set the flag res/purch req to 'from release' but recieve the following error message.....
-
Relevance to MRP set at 3, as order released or activated
Message no. IW295
Diagnosis
You have set the relevancy for materials planning manually to 2 (this means "later, or on release").
The order has either already been released or the relevancy for materials planning for the whole order is on 3 (this means "immediately relevant for materials planning").
System Response
The system sets the relevancy for materials planning to 3.
Procedure
If you want the component to be considered immediately for procurement/materials planning, leave the indicator on 3.
Otherwise, set the indicator manually to 1.

Hope someone can help me.
Kind Regards

You should be able to change the configuration for the Order type / plant combination to indicate that the Reservation and Purchase requisition should be created from "RELEASE" and Not immediately. (SPRO > PM> Maintenance and service > Maintenace and service Orders > functions and settings for order type > Define change doc, collective Pur req..).

hi
Even though you have marked the reservation from release ,system will create the reservation number but will not allow for material issue against that reservation without releasing the order .
it is standard SAP .kindly check whether any OSS notes is there for your requirement
