SuccessFactors to ThirdParty server: Compond Employee API

Hi All,

We have a business scenario to fetch the employee master data(Compound employee API) from SuccessFactors(SF) to third party server.

I have the below queries, let me know what is the approach to be followed:

1) Our client is having only PO 7.5 version , Installing the HCI\CPI will any way help in building up the above scenario?

Let me know , which middle ware to choose either PO 7.5 or CPI?

2) If we go with PO 7.5 , can we use the standard ESR content delivered by SAP for SF to HCM Integration? Will these standard content helps in developing the above scenario(Compound employee API)?

a) Employee data and compensation data : SWCV :SFIHCM01 600

b) Recruiting data : SWCV : SFIHCM02 600

c) Variable pay data : SWCV: SFIHCM03 600

Please let me know the pros & cons in choosing the middle ware for the Compound Employee API integration with success factors to Thrid party server.

Thanks

Sai

Hi Say,

At the moment I am finishing up an SF CompoundEmployee integration with a third party payroll system. The integrations are running on CPI.

I know that SAP has default content for third-party integration on CPI but chances are that that content isn't really suited to your specific scenario and that you will have to redo most of the iflows.

Most of what I have done could also be done on PO although CPI is much more flexible in that respect. If I had a choice I would choose CPI because of this flexibility.

I'm not sure if the ESR software components will be of much use in your scenario since I assume that your third-party server is not an SAP system.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes , I am working on the same scenario - SF CompoundEmployee Integration with third party payroll system(non-SAP system).

>>I know that SAP has default content for third-party integration on CPI but chances are that that content isn't really suited to your specific scenario and that you will have to redo most of the iflows.

As far as I know the SAP delivered content for SF integration in CPI will be used when there is SAP system(ex:- S4 HANA) either at sender side or receiver side with SF.

In my case , since it is a non-SAP system there is no choice we have to re-develop the interfaces either in CPI or PO, will go with SAP PO as a middle ware.

Let me know your thoughts

Thanks
