Folder view is not available

Hello,

I have a remote user (i'm in the UK and he's in Czech Republic) who is experiencing a problem whilst using InfoView on our server. He can connect OK and can initially view folders, but after an action such as viewing History of a report he is then not able to use the folder view. The symptoms are that the InfoView Document List tool bar disappears and only categories are displayed. It's a little unhelpful as I haven't populated categories yet. If I get him to change his preferences to use folders rather than categories the preferences page refreshes and resets the category view selection.

Sometimes if he logs out and back in again he is able to view documents again, but only for a short time.

I'm trying to get him to test on another PC and am also getting other remote users to check, but no results on either of these tests as yet.

Has anyone else run into this problem before? Is there a known fix?

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike,

1. Does this issue happen for any other user belonging in same groups as the problem user?

2. Does it happen from different client machines?

Hi,

Other users in the same AD and Enterprise groups do not have the problem.

I've yet to establish if other clients have the same issue as i'm waiting for the user to confirm this to me.

I've discovered more information and am now able to reproduce the problem at will. If i type the InfoView web address as http://<server name>/InfoViewApp then all is fine, but if I type http://<server ip>/InfoViewApp then I can reproduce the problem.

Does this trigger any memories out there?
