Problem patching Solution Manager 7.0 SPS17 to EHP1 SPS20 - ADDON_CONFLICTS

Hi ALL,

I am having problems updating Solution Manager 7.0 SPS17 to EHP1 SPS20.

When I try to load EHP1 SPS20 through transaction SAINT, the update stalls on the PHASE ADDON_CONFLICTS.

The issue seems to be with Conflicts Between ADD-on ST 400 and other compoents & the information for Conflict Resolution is to add to the queue the support pack SAPKITL428 - this I have been doing but unfortunately SAINT continues to stop at this point.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Hi Rishi,

Thanks for your response.

As it happens, the Note you mentioned brings you to Note 1169247 - "Enhancements to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 upgrade".

I have already looked at Note 1169247, which asks you to include in the SAINT queue the support pack SAPKITL428.

This I have done but unfortunately still no fix.

you are trying to reach SP20, then SAPKITL430 is required too

and while defining the queue, include all the packages in one queue by selecting all the components and scroll down that particular queue definition screen and manually select CRTs too

I have tried with SAPKITL430 as well.

In SAINT, after having chosen the following Installable Add-ons:

NW700_EHP_01 SAP Netweaver 700 Enhancement Package 1

PI_BASIS 701 PI_BASIS 701 Upgrade

SAP_ABA 701 SAP_ABA 701 Upgrade

SAP_BASIS 701 SAP_BASIS 701 Upgrade

SAP_BW 701 SAP_BW 701 Upgrade

CRMUIF 500 CRMUIF 500: Add-On Installation

ST-SER 701_2008_2 ST-SER 701_2008_2: Add-On Upgrade

...I then continue and in the Support Package selection screen, I add in the component ST SAPKITL428 .

(This is where I have tried this with SAPKITL430 as well)

...then continue, then continue again , it starts the upload but stops at the ADDON_Conflicts phase.

still I just could only say that 'scroll down' is missing here.

queue package selection screen, switch to 'select all' and just make sure to 'scroll down' and select all including crt and st-ico

If this is fine, then I would let our other forum members to suggest something

The issue was with the prerequisite of BI_CONT 704 component needing to be installed.

After installing BI_CONT 704 there were no further issues.
