Digital Signature

Hi All

My requirement is to add digital signatures to PO & invoice documents which will comply with the government rules & regulations.

• What I learnt from the documentation is that it is not possible in SAP SmartForms & is only possible in SAP Adobe forms.
• I will be using an external dongle with a key & not a bitmap image.

any help is appreciated.

Hello.

I dont know your SAP version, but keep aware that, if you are talking about S/4HANA, the component CA-DSG (Digital Signature) still avaible but is not the target architeture. Please check note 2268120 - S4TWL - Digital Signature.

If you desire work with the Digital Signature process, check the note 700495 - Digital Signature implementation by using signature tool. There are a detailed step by step implementation guide there.

Hi

I have been through this document, however I am looking for a solution using an external security product. I am not able to find any related documentation or procedure. If i need to follow :

• an individual signature strategy
• do i need to set up an RFC connection with the security token (if yes then how)
• what must be the specifications for the external security token.

available documentation has confused me,

Hello Arsalan,

yes you are right that you need to use Adobe forms for digital signature, but bitmap image will work and you need to ask to your abaper to add the same in the form!

Yes I checked the same with ABAP & you are right that bitmap image won't work, but there is a basic option in adobe form where digital signature can be attached, pdf becames editable for that particular area and you can attach digital signature!
