We are on SRM 7.04 classic, SRM MDM 7.2 catalogue, central contracts maintained in SRM and auto distributed to ECC and SRM MDM catalogue using SAP PI, xml messages. Purchase requisitions or reservations created in ECC. This works great if the base UoM and PUoM are identical.
One business unit has a scenario where they need users to order in smaller units than the products are ordered from supplier. Say users can order product from an SRM MDM catalogue in Base unit of measure EA, it creates reservation in ECC for EA and goods are issued to the users in EA.
However, the supplier will only supply in cartons (Purchasing UoM- PUoM) and also invoices in cartons say 1 carton is 100 EA. (cartons are delivered in central warehouses, opened, unpacked and stored and goods issued in EA)
At the moment the central contract item is set up in EA so it distributes to MDM in EA and the users are able to order in EA. This unfortunately means that MRP generated PRs are created against the contract and in EA not cartons.
Looking for a way how to set up SRM central contracts and MDM catalogue UoM so the users are able to order from the catalogue in EA (BUoM), but the PR/PO is created in cartons (PUoM on contract) while the contract to catalogue distribution still works.
