Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in Filesystem Secure Store.

Hello, hate to beat this topic to death, but I am in the process of upgrading our portal TST system from 6.40 to 7.o SP19.

I have not seen this error on our sandbox nor development system , but the upgrade fails with during the undeploy phase with "Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in the Filesystem Secure Store.

Enter valid login information in the Filesystem Secure Store using the SAP J2EE Engine Config Tool. For more information, see SAP note 701654."

Per the note, I have used the configtool to change the parameter Secure Store admin/password/<SID> to what I has specified in the upgrade "J2EE Super Admin user Password".

I have restarted the instance. The problem still exists.

I can not log into the index.html page using SAP* and the password entered in the configtool

I have tried to use the visual admin tool to connect as user SAP* and the password set in the configtool.

But I can not log in.

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Finally got the upgrade rolling again. Not sure which trick did it, But the last thing i did was this. I changed the password for the user SAP* using the configtool under cluster-data -> Global server configuration -> services -> comn.sap.security.core.ume.service -> ume.superadmin.password. Type in the value field, hit "set" and retyped it in again. Hit save, restarted the instance. I had tried this earlier under the single instance server. But that didn't seem to take effect.

Please goto configtool and update the password in the secstore in the administrator tab.

Please enter the password of the Administrator user.this error is due to the password in the configtool (secstore) is not in sink.

Thanks

I have tried to set the password via the configtoo, Secure storel many times and it's not working. Where is the security file stored on the O/S level? I think if I delete it I should be able to recreate it via the configtool.
