work center formulas

Hi, we created actvity type 1,2,3,4,5,6 with op17 and op21 and assigned to std paramer key sap2. now we can see all six parameters with formulas in basic data view, default values view and in costing view. but in scheduling and capacity view, there is no options to enter all formulas for all 6 activities. in scheduling only setup and processing formulas are there. in that case, how to maintain the formulas for remaining 4 activities. same thing for capacity view. say activity type 4 is for loading time, how to capture this capacity and scheduling time without formula. pls advise.

Hi,

You can maintain 6 standard value parameters for a standard value key, in Capacities & in Scheduling view you can maintain formulas for calculating capacities and for Scheduling for respective capacity categories.

suppose you can maintain: 1.set up, 2.machine, 3. labour, 4.power, 5.water, 6. compressed air.

here you can create capacity categories in capacities view of w/c for calculating capacity requirements & in scheduling view of w/c you can maintain only one capacity category.

In costing view of w/c you have to maintain formulas for all activities for calculating costs.

Dear, thank u for understanding. as i mentioned my activity types also includes loading time and unloading time (seperate activity type). so if i want to include formula for both in scheduling, is there any way? also in capacity view under machine capacity? pls advise.

Dear,

Go-to : OP7B "Parameters Overview"

Define your requirements loading time and unloading time ZLOD and Zunload

Then Go-to : OP19 " Standard Value Key Formula : Overview "

Select SAP1 u2013 Normal Production and Copy as (F6) and Create new Activity Type Say eg. ZSAP

Then Assign this new Parameter created in OP7B and save (handle the transport request)

For Formula Definition :

Go-to : OP54 "Formula Definition"

Select SAP002 u2013 Prod.: Machine Time and Copy as (F6) and Create ur new Formula Say Eg. ZXYZ

And replace SAP_02 with your Parameter u2013 ZLOAD and Zunlod

Then itu2019ll look some thing like "ZLoad * SAP_09 / SAP_08 / SAP_11"

Assign To work center.

dear

you can use one formula to more than one activity.for this you define agtivity in routing as per your process flow.

Capacity: which capacity u want to use to calculate- Generally Labor And Process are consider in the Capacity, u can create labor and process in single work center.

Scheduling: Scheduling is always based up on the One activity,, if it is labour work center the it is Labour activity, If it is machine always Process time . because Lead time is based on process time that time is used for scheduling.

With out formula, it is impossible to calculate Capacity & Scheduling

You can cpature capacity for activiyies through work center,There is one option in capacities tab page in work cenetr

ie create capacities near delete option ,through this you can capature no. of capacities

For scheduling I think it is not possible
