Query related to MX_REPORTS in SAP IDM

Dear Experts,

I have a Query related to MX_REPORTS entry type and also regarding the reports to be available under the View Reports in UI.

SAP IDM Details - IDM 8.0 SP4

Database - IBM DB2

MX_REPORT entries can be created only via report form or else can these entries be created via an on demand job using to To Identity Store Pass type?

When I tried to create an entry under MX_REPORT entry type using the To Identity Store Pass via an on demand job and even after maintaining data in MX_REPORT_RESULT & MX_REPORT_RESULT_REF, MX_REPORT_ENTRY, MX_REPORT_OWNER attributes, the reports are not displayed under view reports tab.

Requirement - Reports needs to be generated on a regular basis which would contain around 7K to 10 K records and with fields (columns) of around 13 - 20 fields.

AS per the below blog the report can be generated dynamically with a script linked to the process task, but i am not sure how the system works if needs to return around 10K records with 10-20 fields using 20 lines of sql query.

Via ondemand job (To Ascii PAss the file is generated within 10 minutes)

Blog

Please suggest me how to proceed further.

Regards,

Deva

    Hi Deva,

Please could you double-check your attribute names in the ToIdentityStore pass - you want MX_OWNER, rather than MX_REPORT_OWNER.

I also don't think it is necessary to populate both MX_REPORT_RESULT and MX_REPORT_RESULT_REF - just one or the other depending on whether you wish to store the report in the database or on an separate file store.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    • Thanks Adam after using MX_OWNER, the entries are visible in UI. But the report status is blank, usually using report form when create MX_REPORT entries once the job execution completed successfully, then the status is displayed as OK. How to maintain the status?

    Hi Deva,

I don't believe you can maintain the status directly. This is calculated from the data in MCMV_AUDIT, so is autopopulated when a report is created the usual way, via a Task.

If we create the report via a Job instead, there will be no corresponding entry in the audit table, so the status is blank.
