hi all, with Support Package 0015, in e-recruiting
The problem is that in E-recruiting, using SmartForms in html, I can not send emails to yahoo.es
It works with Gmail, hotmail or other, but not with yahoo email that arrives empty.
someone can give me a solution?
thanks in advance, sony
Hi sony,
I did not see any information by sap that with e-recruiting 600 sp 0015 only html emails are allowed. As you found out html emails are not such a great idea as every email provider and every email client will display in another way. Plain text mails or cover letter plain text mails with pdf attachment are in my opinion the better choice - although they might miss some style options. (I assume you use the changable letter section and not the older change of corrspondences with the editor, as the 2nd one has some restrictions to the correspondence formats when changed)
Could you please verify that the correspondence channel is still set to ASCII? Go to T-code SPRO SAP E-Recruiting -> Recruitment -> Applicant Tracking -> Activities -> Correspondence -> Output Channels -> Assign Document Formats to Output Channels and check that the channel E_MAIL is set to SSF_ASC for plain text mails or SSF_PDF if you use plain text cover letters with PDF attachment.
Best Regards

Hi,
the pdf solution for correspondence is a two step solution. You need a cover letter which is basically a correspondence smartform itself and a content smartform wich is attached as pdf. Check the IMG node to assign cover letters to correspondences to see if it is set up properly. Please pay attention that the cover letter for a simple correspondence is a smartform with the interface of simpe correspondences while the cover letter for the invitation needs invitation interface.
If I remember my last tests correctly it is really a display bug of yahoo. When you are in the yahoo page check its html for the correspondence content. You should find it. I think this can't be changed, that's why we usually do not use this solution although pure text mails do not look that great.
Kind Regards

Hello,
This sounds like an issue we recently experienced. This is a unicode problem.
Check the full header text of the blank html correspondent letters from a Yahoo account. By default SAP uses UTF-16be. We had to convert ours to UTF-8. Note that when sending smartforms in html you cannot change this using SCOT rather you must set the unicode setting in the BAdi HRRCF00_MODIFY_HTML_MAIL. See SAP note 1265598 - Correspondence: Character set problems in HTML mails.
Hope this helps!
Ryan
check transaction SCOT
