Hi, can anyone advise is there a way to 'force' a finished goods to behave like a service item during SO and DO creation?

I tried to change it to a 'TAX' item cat but it still check and requires qty to be available in DO

Thanks

Hi AA, Reason is bcos customer is not ready to inventorise item but they would like to create with material type 'FERT' first.

Like i mentioned earlier, i make use of item 'TAX' which is meant for serivice material. This item cat can allow DO creation, but the

problem is that i can't PGI (service confirmation) like normal service item.

Seems not possible.

Thanks

Hi

Why you want to do this, whats the logic behind your requirement??

Anyway you need to consider some of the following things :-

Since the Service is not deliverable so there will be no delivery, and billing will be Order related.

The Item Category should have Item Type : B, Schedule line not allowed, it should not be weight / volume relevant.

do the customising accordingly and then check.
