system propose changer number used in other plant when i change BOM

Dear All,

I have engineering change number.

When i want to change the component in the bom in my plant,system give the the change number which is already used by other plant.

Why the system propose the number which is used by other plant.

For your information" this number is assigned to my plant as well as other plant"

is this going to create problem if same change number is shared by two plants?

Is this a standard behaviour of the system or this is system error?

What is the solution for this.

Hi,

If you have used one changed number to make the changes for the BOM of multiple plants then this will happen.

to avoid this you can give only one plant in the CC02 ( change master).

so this can be avoided.
