Data source extrator not working

Hi Experts,

I transported one datasource from development system to quality system, In quality system if I try to extract it its giving

"Error Occured during Extraction".

But in development system it is working fine. I tried retransporting the same datasource again into quality it didnt work out.

Could anyone help me out with this,

Hi,

Check for authorizations during extraction. After executing RSA3 execute the t-code SU53. Also check for the extraction log in RSA3.

Hi Gaurav,

I tried checking in SU53, there is not problem in authorisation, I am able to extract other datasources in the same system other than this datasource which is failing.

Can you provide the error thrown in the ABAP dump (tcode ST22)? Also, would you please provide the DataSource that you're having an issue with? Some DataSources require activation of BAdIs to work properly and I was wondering if that was the case or if it may be caused by something else.

hi Dennis,

The extractor is not throwing any abap dump. I tried checking in st22. It is showing a Information dialog box saying "Errors occured during Extraction".

Hi,

Did you check the Extraction log as I said earlier. I think that should have some info for your error.

Can you give the name of the DS ?

Here is the error info in the extraction log. The datasource name is 0CRM_TGGRP.

The extraction program does not support object 0CRM_TGGRP

Message no. R3009

Diagnosis

The application program for the extraction of data was called up using the invalid InfoSource/invalid InfoObject 0CRM_TGGRP.

System Response

The data extraction is terminated.

Procedure

Check for relevant OSS Notes, or send a problem message of your own.

Hi dennis,

The name of the datasource is 0CRM_TGGRP, would this be the problem related to patches? I mean does this problem occur if some patches are missing in the quality system?

I am still not able to resolve this.

Please make sure you have the same BBPCRM component on both the DEV and QAS systems.

Hi Gaurav,

I have check BBPCRM in both the systems they are same. However there were some differences in

ST-PI -> SAP Solution Tools Plug-In

and 2 additional plug-in's were present in development system named

Livelink for SAP Solution Basic Componen

SAP GRC Access Controls 5.3 for 700 HR a

Have you already checked the extractorchecker (RSA3) on the CRM sourcesystem ?

Have you transported the datasource on the sourcesystem first, afterwards replicated the datasource on

BW-side, than transported the BW transport with the mentioned datasource ?

hi Bert,

I have checked the datasource in transaction rsa3 in sourcesystem it is working fine there, if I transport the same datasource to target system ie quality and when I try to run the same datasource in rsa3 it is giving extraction error.

And Yes I have replicated the datasource in BW and also transported it to quality.

Did you receive any returncodes on the transportrequest from you datasource transport on CRM dev to CRM Q ?

Yes the return code is 0.

Can you compare the contents of the ROOSOURCE table in CRM dev and CRM qua ?

Filter on OLTPSOURCE = 0CRM_TGGRP

I compared the roosource values in both table, they are same.

Please take a notice on the docu from help.sap.com regarding this extractor:

This DataSource is needed to extract the target group data during synchronization of the target groups with the BW from the CRM system. Extraction is only possible for target groups with category Product proposal. Also, the indicator Synchronization with BW must be set for the target group attributes. If this indicator is set, then an initial transfer of the business partner list to the BW is performed when the target group is saved. As long as this indicator is set, a delta package is created for the BW every time the business partner list is changed. This package contains deletion records for business partners that are deleted when the list is changed. It also contains additional records for newly added business partners (after images).

If the Synchronization with BW indicator is removed, then the target group should also be deleted from the ODS object in BW. Furthermore, for all business partners in the list, a deletion record in a delta package is transferred to the BW system. This deletes all records from the target group list, which then causes the entire target group to be deleted from the target group ODS.

Can you create a targetgroup in CRM qua with category product proposal incl the indicator Synchronization for BW ?
