Hi All,

I am setting up the SAPExtractor in Nakisa to extract data from ECC to SQL DB.

In 6th step Select Hierarchy Root - I'm getting the following error.

The root value for each hierarchy is mandatory. Please enter the required information before procedding.

What value I need to enter in the Root Org Unit ID - field?

Thanks

You can do this by editing the downloadSchema.xml file directly (keywords section at top) or by using the administrator console, Configure Staging section.

Stephen,

What to edit in downloadSchema.xml file.

I can't see the Configure Staging section in Admin console.

Please tell me where to find out the Root Org Unit ID value?

Thanks

Stephen,

When I try to import data from SAP, I'm getting the following error.

Testing Database Connection : Connected

Testing SAP server connection: Connected

Reading Configuration file : Error reading configuration:

[SchemaReader.ReadConfig]: Bad Configuration file [check XML syntax]

Errors occured during the import procedure.

Thanks

Hi Thruna,

What version are you using and is this Live or Staged? If you have no Configure Staging module in the Administrator Console then you are not using the Staged version. It sounds like you may be using an old version.

The error appears to be with the XML code. There may be a syntax error in there. If you open the XML file in Internet Explorer it will tell you if there is an error or not.

Many thanks,

Hi Luke,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm using Nakisa Talent Management Series 2007 R6 - version.

This is in DEV environment.

What is the name of the xml file I need to open?

Thanks

Hi Thruna,

Do you have the product version (from a file called ProductVersion with no extension). The file is called downloadSchema.xml and is found in the SAPExtractor folder of your build.

Many thanks,

Hi Luke,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I copied the entire folder structures from PRD to DEV.

I am able to open the downloadschema.xml file in IE without any issues in DEV.

Thanks

Hi Thruna,

Under the keyword OrgUnitRoot you need to put in your root OrgUnit ID between the <value> tags.

Many thanks,

Hi Luke,

I have searched in downloadSchema.xml file for the keyword OrgUnitRoot and nothing found in.

How do I get the root org unit ID?

Thanks

Hi Thruna,

You can enter your root OrgUnit ID in the Administrator Console in the Staging section. It is the ID of the OrgUnit at the root (top) of the structure you are extracting from SAP.

Many thanks,

Luke

Luke,

I retried the SAP extract today, it went thru without any issues.

Thanks for your help.
