Help needed on Quota Planning CRM 7.0

Hi,

I am facing some issues while setting up the values in Quota Planning. Here it is what i did up till now,

I assigned my self as a user to a "Head of own organizational unit" position in Organizational Management .

The Org model is structured for e.g.

Higher Org Unit

____ Director Position - "Head of own organizational unit"

_______ User assigned here to be able to plan for "Planned-For Org Unit"

____ Planned-For Org Unit

_______ Sales Position

__________ Other users

But when i select the org unit & hit generate quota button, its populates the window showing the org unit name & name of head of org unit. The moment & select both & hit generate button, it throws me an error saying

"Quota Plan generation failed for org unit"

"No Quota exists on 2008 for org unit of Sales organization, generation for 2009 not possible.

Can anyone help me in fixing this issue? I would really appreciate that.

Hello!

The generation of Quota needs a basis. So there has to be some quota already maintained in the previous fiscal year. In addition there has to be a default Growth-Factor.

You can enter values manually once and than the calculation should work.

Thanks Arno for quick response.

Now the issue is, when i drop down the fiscal year ...i can see years from 2008 to 2014. But when i try to maintain the quota for 2008, its giving me an error saying that "No Quota exists on 2007 for org unit of sales org".

Am i missing any config here!!? i would appreciate if you can elaborate your solution a little bit more in detail.
