Fixed Term Deposit - Flows Blocked for Posting

Former Member

Hi

I am able to create a fixed term deposit deal, but not able to post any flows via TBB1. When looking into my deal (Cash Flow tab) I see that all of my flows are BLOCKED. If I try to right click on each flow, it does not allow me to release the flow. In fact, I am not expecting them to need a release step (I set up the Prod Type 51A / Trans Type 100 to be "Automatic Posting Release").

Any ideas on why my flows are always blocked?

I am using ECC 6.0.

Appreciate any inputs - thanks.

Hi Pollie,

Apart from Ravi's suggestion i have one more input which might help.

The icon and release indiacator you are checking in the deal will tell, whether the deal can be posted or not. So when you create, it rightly points that it is not relevent for posting. Only after you settle the deal, you can post it. Thats the life cycle.

Note: The processing category in the transaction type specifies if settlement is needed or not. Please check that for 51a, whatever transaction type is assigned.

Please settle the deal and hope this helps!

Hi Sandip

Thanks for your inputs!

You are correct. I had overlooked the Processing Category assigned to the Transaction Type. I changed it to a Processing Category that did not require Settlement.

My flows are now being picked up in TBB1. They are still not getting posted however - but that is another issue I need to open another thread on

Many thanks for the advice!

Hi,

Make sure that the update types you have assigned are related to posting. You must mention that in the configuration under the position management. You have to indicate the update type as relevant for posting.

Check your flow type whether they are relevant for posting.

Hi Ravi

I appreciate your inputs.

Would you be able to point me to the specific SPRO path where I can check if my update types are relevant for posting. I would like to make sure I am checking the right setting. I had actually stuck with the SAP standard settings for update types and did not change the base configuration, but I shall double check this.

You also mentioned to check if my flow type is relevant for posting. I confirmed this via FSCM -- TRM -- TM -- Money Market -- Flow Types -- Define Flow Types. All flow types I am using have "Relevant to Posting" as active.

Thanks again.

Hi Ravi

Additionally, I checked FSCM -- TRM -- TM -- General Settings -- Accounting -- Link to Other Accounting Components -- Indicate Update Types as Relevant to Posting. I was able to confirm that the update types MM1100- , MM1120+ , MM1200+ are all flagged as Relevant for Posting.

I also confirmed that these update types are assigned properly to my flow types via FSCM -- TRM -- TM -- Money Market -- Transaction Management -- Update Types -- Assign Flow Types to Update Types. I confirmed in that setting that my flow type 1100 is assigned to MM1100-, flow type 1120 is assigned to MM1120, and flow type 1200 is assigned to MM1200.

Were these the settings you were having me check? I am unsure what other reasons could be causing all of my flows to be blocked upon deal creation.

Thanks for your inputs.

Hi,

Check whether you are able to release the transaction manually in TI90.

Also in IMG TRTM -- General settings -- Accounting -- Link to other accounting components -- Exclude product types for posting. If your product type is here, then remove it.

Also in your transaction type what is the processing category you have specified. Do you have settlement in your processing category, if yes then you need to settle the transactions to post.

Are you using credit management? If yes then check the credit limit for your business partner. If required increase the limit.

Regards,

Ravi

Hi Ravi

Thanks for your inputs.

I am not able to release via TI90. Do I have the right understanding: flows would only be picked up in TI90 if they are not flagged for "Automatic Posting Release" via the setting FSCM -- TRM -- TM -- Money Market -- Trans Mgt -- Trans Types -- Define Trans Types? I have them flagged for "Automatic Posting Release" so I was not expecting to do TI90 to release their flows.

Re: Exclude product types for posting, I do not have any entries in this configuration.

I appreciate your advice. Thanks again.

SAP Says "Update types are defined in sample Customizing and assigned to usages as well as specified for different usages. When you make your Customizing settings you should refer to sample Customizing"

We are trying to configure TRM-Transaction Manager. In SPRO, we see about 920 sample keys for update types in our sandbox where as this is complete blank in our dev client.

I am unable to track down how these Update Types got into Sandbox but not in Dev client.

Looking at the naming convention they look like SAP defined in Sandbox. We donu2019t have to create any custom keys if we can get SAP default ones.

Is there any way we get these w/o having to create them manually?

Any put greatly appreciated

Thanks
