How to add field in Opportunity screen in Web UI 7.0

Hi,

I added z fields through EEWB, all z fields are stored in CRMD_OPPORT_H and CRMD_ORDERADM_I tables.

These fields atuomatically added in components also. My question is how to add these z fields in Opportunity transaction in

Web UI screen header and item level.

Regards

Srinu

make sure you deactivated the hiding of fields in the design layer of the UI Framework in spro.

    Hi,

In CRM 7.0 you can use Application Enhancement Tool to create new field in Opportunity.

Please find more details in the following links:

    /people/tzanko.stefanov2/blog/2008/11/18/application-enhancement-tool-creating-and-reusing-custom-fields-with-crm-70-part-1-of-2

We recommend customer to use Application Enhancement Tool instead of EEWB.

Currently, Application Enhancement Tool does not support all functionality that EEWB has.

However, it supports many other features that do not exists in EEWB.

I.e. transportable enhancement metadata, integration in UI Framework.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hi,

Stewart was right. Please see the Design Layer settings.

The reason for this is following:

Since Web UI introduced the Design Layer, the applications are able to define which attributes should be shown in the UI.

In Business Transaction application(i.e. Sales Order, Service Order) they hide all other fields and show only by their selection in Design Layer. The impact is that the EEWB fields are hiden.

In Business Partner application they show all fields in Design Layer.

Please find more details in the following note: 1357657

    Regards,

    Steve
