PR Release date in ME5A

Former Member

Hi,

In ME5A (List Scope 'A'), system is showing PR Release date same as delivery date. E.g., If delivery date given in PR is 31.10.2009, then Release date is also showing as 31.10.2009.

This is happening even for PRs which are not released.

Can any one suggest the solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Gopi Chand

Dear,

Try creating query by selecting PR table. The data availabel in table EBAN. Select the appropriate fields and build a query.

PR table (EBAN) Fields with description:

eban-banfn - Purchase requisition number

eban-frgkz - Release indicator

eban-frgzu - Release status

eban-frgdt - Release Date

Do select the other fields if any required.

Dear Syed,

Release date = Delivery date - (Planned delivery time + GR Processing time). In this case, I have given delivery date as 15.09.2009, planned delivery date as 10 days and GR processing time as 2 days. Then the Relese date should be : 15.09.2009 - 12 days = 03.09.2009. But it is showing as 05.09.2009. i.e., it is considering only planned delivery time but not GR processing time.

What could be the reason for that?

Thanks & Regards,

Dear,

Release date = Delivery date - GR processing time - Planned delivery time - Purchasing dept processing time.

PR date is created date.

Release date = Delivery date - Planned delivery time(Days)

Delivery date = when we want to receive the material ( Exclusive GR process time)

Planned delivery time = From Release date to Delivery date.

The above calculation is standard for Material without MRP.

MRP materials are calculating itself as below.

Planned delivery time = Pick up from purchase info record

Release date = Delivery date - (Planned delivery time(Days) + GR process time)

Delivery date = when we want to receive the material ( inclusive GR process time)

PR date always system date.

Pls. Consider the factory holidays also in calendar.

Syed Hussain.

Generally the release date in PR takes the default creation date of the PR.This you can find while creating a PR in the Quantities/dates tab at item details.

Hi,

The problem is in the initial report of ME5A. Why is it showing like that?

Is there any specific reason for that?

Thanks & Regards,

Dear,

The Release date showing in PR is not the Purchase requsition released for further processing. It represents the :

Purchase Requisition Release Date

Specifies the date on which the purchase order should be initiated on

the basis of the purchase requisition.

The release date is based on:

o The purchasing department processing time defined for the plant

o The planned delivery time from the material master record or

purchasing info record

o The delivery date

o The goods receipt processing time from the material master record

Note

The planned delivery time from the purchasing info record and the GR

processing time are only taken into account if the purchase

requisition was generated via materials planning.

Example

Processing time Planned del. GR processing

Purchasing time time

Release PO Delivery Date

date date date required

Date required: 01.10.2007

GR processing time: 2 days (working days)

Planned delivery time: 10 days (calendar days)

Purchasing dept processing time: 2 days (working days)

For the material to be available on the date it is needed, the purchase

requisition must be released on 13.09.2007 (requirement date less GR

processing time, planned delivery time, and purchasing department

processing time).
