Integration of E-Recruitment with SAP ERP HCM

Dear Friends,

We have SAP ERP HCM server implemented now we have plan to integrate it

with E-Recruitment.

Kindly suggest on the following scenarios.

1) We have HCM server with E-recruitment support package

ERECRUIT 600 0003 SAPK-60003INERECRUIT E-Recruiting

If we will integrate E-recruitment with HCM server instead of having two different instaces will it make any impact on existing server???

And please suggest steps for implementing E-recruitment.

Thanks in advance.

regards

Jiggi,

    Hi

There are a few landscape possibilities with Erecruitment - the two main ones are

    1) Standalone E-recruitment system connected via ALE to ECC master data system

    2) Erecruitment running in the ECC master data system

As of 600 Erecruitment may already be installed as part of core ECC so there may not

be a separate installation steps required for option 1)

Please check the following note for help on E-recruitment setup

    890357 Minimum configuration of SAP E-Recruiting 600

If this is an existing ERP system with existing customizing and master data - the only way to test

if activation of E-recruitment will cause any issues is to perform a test activation project

    in a non-PRD critical environment

    Best regards

    Stuart

    Hello jiggi,

are you sure you have e-recruiting 600 without any EhP on SP 3? The current support package level for e-recruiting 600 is SP 16. If you want to use the WebDynpro frontend for candidates this is not even available on this SP. The first system with 600 and WebDynpro for candidate going in production used SP 8 (i know as I did in 2007). Due to the heavy webdynpro corrections and a nasty OTR issue you should not start a rollout lower than SP10 or even think of EhP3 or EhP4.

Now for the landscape. I can only give the advice to use a standalone scenario again, no matter if some people from sap do not like me for it ;o).

If you use structural authorization in your HCM server -> no e-recruiting possible.

If you use reference personal number via IT 0031 -> not supported with e-recruiting.

If you use or plan to use concurrent or global employment -> also not allowed when running e-recruiting integrated (except EhP4).

In most cases the security issue is the reason for no go for integrated solution. The fact that every recruiter needs authorization on user creation / change, that every employee has a user on the server (no matter that it's usually a web user) and the overall fact that the holy hr server is linked to the internet won't let most network and data security guys sleep so they won't allow. This is of course in last instance a company specific decision, but to give an orientation from all of the e-recruiting projects i worked in one is really integrated, one is integrated w/o online access (special case but it exists) over one dozend is standalone.

For more information on the scenarios please check note 997181 and its attachments. There you find quite a lot good prepared information on the different scenarios in the different releases / EhPs.

    Best regards

    Roman
