Report S_ALR_87012936 Depreciation simulation

I am on 4.6B & trying to forcast for next 6 yrs.. however my user is unable to see new acquistions for 2009, I added whatever fields available in the report, but I could not see any values.

The saphelp for sap4.6B below says that this can be displayed "The transactions affecting APC in the current fiscal year ". can anyone advise how i can see the values and which fields should i add in.

Simulation Over the Course of a Number of Fiscal Years

This report allows you to simulate depreciation many years into the future. The date you enter for the report determines the future fiscal year up to which you want to simulate depreciation.

The report displays the following values:

The book value at the start of the year

The cumulative transactions affecting APC, up to the beginning of the current fiscal year

The transactions affecting APC in the current fiscal year

The planned ordinary depreciation and other depreciation in the current fiscal year

The planned net book value at the end of the year

The planned interest in the current fiscal year and the cumulative interest up to the beginning of the current fiscal year

Hi Agnes,

Check on a couple of things, as below, and re-try executing the requisite reports:

1 - The fiscal year variant that is being used. In case it is a non-standard varinat, ensure in OB29 that this variant has been created/extended for post periods for all the past and future years wheein you would like to view depreciation or other asset values simulated / forecasted.

2 - For the report that you are using, even if it is a standard SAP report, in Asset Accounting check the links for Forms.

Path: IMG - Asset Accounting - Information Systems - Define or Assign Forms - Assign asset class/history sheet.

3 - Check the set-up Depreciation Simulation variants.

Path: IMG - Asset Accounting - Information Systems - Define Simulation Variants for Depreciation Reports

4 - Check the set-up for fields included on the T.Code / Report you are executing - as defined in Sort Versions for Asset Reports.

Path: IMG - Asset Accounting - Information Systems - Define Sort Versions for Asset Reports

5 - For reports do an overall step by step check on the configuration for AA - IS including versions, variants, asset history sheets, etc.

Hi,

In transaction S_ALR_87012936, Enter the report date as 31.12.2014 (since the simulation over next 6 yrs is desired).

Under "Select Layout" area , select "1_SAP_1_LINE" & execute.

Once the report displays the result, modify the layout (press Cntrl+F8), select "Depr. 2013 & 2014 as the standard settings allow display till 2012.

Save the laout. This will give you the desired result.

In field * Cuml. APC/repl.v*, you will find the total APC values for each asset.

hi.. that only shows opening balance in 2009,

but i want to see NEWLY acquired assets in 2009 i.e. transactions affecting APC in the current fiscal year

hi,

actually my user wants to see the forecast for a 6 yr period from 2009 to 2014 using S_ALR_87012936 Depreciation simulation

the report date i will put 31.12.2014 so that i can see for a 6 yr period all the values.

is there a change variant i can add in a field which shows the new acquistions for 2009 within this report?

If not is there another report that shows forecast for 6 yr and show new acq?

Hi,

Take field APC/RV 2009 in to your layout.

the above value would be total acq value for your asset till current year end, deduct * Cuml. APC/repl.v* from that value.

APC/RV 2009 - Cuml. APC/repl.v = Acq value 2009

Or you can choose field APC acquisition, which is same as above resulted value.

APC/repl.val. acquisition 2009 is giving me null values.. but if i use the other depreciation program, selecting Transactions Affecting the assdts value.. it gave me numbers.

ok now that i clarified with the user,

she is saying that if she execute with 31.12.2014 with 6 yr dep forecast, the

Cum. APC/RV 2009 (APC/RV 2009) column will show the cumulative APC as of today.

She said instead she wants to be able to forecast the 6 yr period based on the july cumulative APC not as of today cumulate APC.

I tried with the report date 31.07.2009 and the cumulative APC is correct but it is now not able to forecast for a 6 yr period.

Please help!
