create Quotation for SD using ORDERS05?

Dear experts,

I have to create a Quotation sending an orders XML file via FTP --> PI --> SAP ERP.

My idea was I can achieve that using an ORDERS05 IDoc. But I am struggling.

The latest error I am getting and I can't solve is "Sales document RV45A-ETDAT does not exist"

Is it even possible to create a quotation using ORDERS05? Or is it only possible to use a BAPI for example?

thank you and sorry for my late answer. So from the note 1771287 I can see for quotations I have to use IDoc type QUOTES.

I have never dealt with this IDoc type - I will look into it.
