Unable to download TemSe file from PU12

Hello Experts,

I am evaluating PU12 and the interface format OTMU (Master Data payroll outsourcing-US) to send employee master data to 3rd party payroll provider. Now I have all the basic configurations (I think I have!) such as port, partner setup, etc.

I am able to run PC00_M10_OTEM successfully (also able to run RPCEMDU0_0 for my test employee after selecting OTMU). And I can even see the Idoc under transaction WE02 with the status 30 (IDoc ready for dispatch). In fact, I see the data too under the Idoc segment E1HR_KY.

But then when I go back to PU12 and choose the radio button to "Download from TemSe" and enter the target system (=local PC), TemSe object (=HR_PINTFF_0000000019), File Name (=C:\TEST.txt) to download the data in local machine. It gives me the message that "File C:\TEST.TXT was created". But then when I go to my local machine, it shows the zero size of the file and I do not see any data.

Is there anything I missing here???

Thanks in advance for all your assistance on this.

Hi,

Sounds like the TemSe file is not generated, check if the TemSe content is available through SP12 - Goto tab or SP11.

Hello Priya,

Thank you for your response. I used the transactions that you mentioned and I do not see the TemSe content. However, as I mentioned before I can see the Idoc segments populated with the data. Is there any configuration that I need to do in order to generate the TemSe content.

Would you or anyone here, advise on this.

Thank you very much.

When you use OTMU, it will only send data to IDOC, no TemSe will be created. If you create a new interface that will have the capability of generating the TemSe file.

Hello Shafiq,

Thank you very much for your response. I didn't know that we can't create the TemSe file from OTMU interface format. Now the question, I have how do companies check the content of the IDoc before sending to the payroll provider. Curious!!

Best wishes

Try We02 / WE05 to view idocs.
