Help: Preparing BW for BCS

Hi experts,

I need some help, I have to prepare all the objects, extractors, every thing in BW to prepare it for BCS.

The BCS cube is an enhancement of 0BCS_C11.

What I wanna know is:

1: There is an standard extractor for this infocube? Or any extractor that I can enhance to get this information?

The enhancement of 0BCS_C11 is the add of another characteristc for Cost Center.

2: If there´s not an extractor for 0BCS_C11, there is any documentation about the fields and tables for it?

Thanks a loot,

Eduardo.

    Hi Eduardo,

It's a wrong question. There are no extractors for this cube. Extractors are used for getting information from datasources. I assume that you have SAP ERP as a source system? Then since there are a lot sources of different kind of data, there are a lot of extractors. Just recently was a discussion about 0SEM_BCS_10 extractor. Try using search on the forums. In this case you'll find rather lot hits just giving this name as a key word.

Your question is not clear. -- Fields and tables??? Which ones???

If I were you I would start from BI forums and BW self-learning (at least). Better alternative is SAP BW courses.

    No offense.

I think your question is like this:

You want to bring in cost center data also in the BCS cube. There is no need for you to enhance the standard cube. Created cost center as one of the sub assignments.

Your basic cube will have this value which is coming from ECC 6.00.

Map this cost center (basic cube) to the sub assignment in the BCS cube.

Hope this may answer your question.

      Regards

      Abu
