Initial Status of a new Batch: Restricted Use

Dear Experts,

I want to activate the initial status of a new batch as 'restrircted' for all my FERT's.

I have activated in transaction OMAB. But when I create a batch, I still get the status as 'Unrestricted'.

Please advice if I have to do any other settings.

Thanks for attempting to help.

I ahve tried all this and still the batch status is "Un restricted" when it is forst created by default. I want this to be "Restricted" by default.

I am creating batch manually using MSC1N.

you can define which status a newly created batch is to be given for each material type

please make the settings for the initial status of a new batch in Customizing for Batch Management under Specify Batch Level and Activate Batch Status Management (t-code OMCT)

Hi

Just check from here also. Go to SPRO --> batch management --> Creation of new batches --> Define initial creation of data for Batch master transactions and choose Auto/manual check user exit.
