Trend Analyzer and End Blanks/0's

I have a dynamic range of cells that I want to trend, the range is by day and grows to how many days there are in the month. I'm noticing that the Trend Analyzer is not very dynamic as it cannot ignore end blanks, it is trying to trend my entire range even when I only have 20 rows of data coming back. I can understand not ignoring ending 0's as you may have a 0 in as a part of the data, but I don't understand why it would not ignore end blanks. This makes the Trend Analyzer useless unless it is always a static range of cells. Does anyone else have this issue, know of a work-around.

BTW...I'm using Xcelsius 2008 SP2, don't know if this was the behavior pre-SP2.

Thanks,

JJ

    JJ,

There is no option as such to "Ignore Blank Cells" in Trend Analyzer component. You will generally have this option in Behaviour tab of component properties.

    Hi,

You can compute a trend line based on a dynamic # of values. Follow the link
