Regarding cancellation of material document

Hi,

i created material document by using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for blocked stock by giving movement type as '565' and movement reason as '1008' along with other details. Material document got created successfully.

When i try to cancel the material doc using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CANCEL, it is giving error 'movement for reason '1008' not supported'. This BAPI is accepting only material doc and year n posting date as input, which i am passing properly.

Please let me know how to cancel the material doc created.

Go to Tran OMJJ selct movement type option and continue after that put movement type 565 to 566 in selection parameter and enter

Next screen select movement type 566 and double click on Reason for Movement --> here you have to give reason for movement type 566 with new entry option.

Maintain the Cancellation reason code for your both movt types for posting and also for cancellation.

The material document will be reversed

Is cancelling the document using MIGO trnasaction is same as reversing the posting using MB1C with movement type '566' ??

cancellation thru MBST or MIGO > cancel material document is not the same as creating a new document using the movement type for cancellation.

anyhow, your error is because you did not enter a reson for the movement .
