Dear Experts,
As far as we know there is no out of the BOX integration scenarios with content repository from C4C , however as per my understanding that should be doable.
Since many companies have already their content repositories set up for storing documents. In our case we need to integrate something like that and we dont want to replace the current attchments functionality we just want to change the PHYSICAL storage to our content repository.
Is this possible? Has some one tried to integrate C4C with nonSAP(or even SAP's xECMS) content repository. It will be very helpful to discuss on how-tos and also to discuss pros and cons!
Looking forward for a fruitful conversation.
Regards,
Dhruvin
Hello Dhruvin,
There are plans for the future, but they will take at least a year (or more) to become real. 😞
But with the current implementation, it is not possible to replace the repository system.
Reg. performance, we did some stuff in the last releases. Maybe that helps already.

Hello Dhruvin,
Sorry to say, but plans have been changed. 😞
At the moment there is no repository system integration for C4C planned.
Sorry,
. Horst
Hi Douglas,
Thanks for your reply.
1. C4C attachments have a limitation which 100MB per object , we need to use more.
2. C4C attachments are making system very i mean very slow almost unusable.
3. We asked SAP and they asked to use a third party CMS but there isnt any standard Content repository system.
4. In our company we want to use a centralized Content repository for S4 and C4C.

Hello Dhruvin,
Could you please clarify a bit more on how and why you would like to change the physical storage of your content?
Currently C4C BOs make use of AttachmentFolder Dependent Object to store the attachments of each instance.
What kind of content do you have in the third party system which you want to bring into C4C? Or this is the other way around?
Cheers,
Douglas
