Automatic Depr Key

hi

How can know whether a depr key calculates depr automatically?

I want to post manual and write up throught ABMA and ABZU but system is throwing message thta i can post write-ups and manual depr. We use ECC 6.0 with out new gl

Hi,

A dep key, which is having base method as 0002 in its defenition, it will not calculate the depreciation forecast for na asset automatically.

Base method 0002 is a SAP standard dep key.

Check your dep key defenition with transaction AFAMA

And check your base method defenition with below path...

SPRO->IMG->FA->AA->DEP->VALUATION METHODS->DEP KEY->CAL METHODS->DEFINE BASE METHODS

There check the config for field Dep Method for your dep key's base method.
