SAP QUERY

Hi Friends,

I have a requirement where i need to have a 'date field ' sorted in descending order, even thogh it can be converted it to descending using the tool bar, i want it to have in default by "descending order", How can i acheive this,becuase now the date field shows only in "ascending order".Is there any way to write a code inside the query?if so how.Please suggest.
