Hi,
I am currently new and working on learning SAP Analytics Cloud for dashboarding. I am however having trouble understanding measured data and how you can classify the data as norminal, ordinal or interval.
What has happened is that my data is summing the oridnal data within a hierarchy instead of averaging it. So lets say that I have ordinal data for a variety of cities in Louisiana (state), where 1 means low risk and 5 means high risk. When I create a hierarchy and I zoom out from cities to state level, the data is summed instead of averaged. I would like to have an overall risk value of the state and not a summation of all risk values for each city.
All help would be appreciated!
Hi Madelief,
Welcome!
You probably need to apply an Exception Aggregation to your Risk Level measure and Choose the city/state (location) dimension in the Exception Aggregation Dimension field.
