SAP GUI for Java 7.40 on Mac connection setup

Hi There,

We have setup the SAP Java GUI on Mac OS and it's working properly, except for setting up the connections to our R\3 systems. We are able to create the connections for our systems, and they work properly for the local user logged in but if that user logs out then the connections need to be re-created for the next user. We would like to have a central .xml file that any user that logs into the Mac would read and see the appropriate connections, but are unsure as to exactly where to place this file, and how to have the GUI know of this location.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Chris

Hello Chris,

there should be a central file, which needs to be read from each user.

If you want to have it locally on the Mac, put it in a folder where all users are allowed to read from

Or put it centrally on a file or web server.

In both cases, you need to set the location of this file in Prefernces > Configuration > Logon > Configuration File.

For more information, please refer to the manual (in Screen menubar Help > SAP GUI Help)

3.4.1 Providing Connections
5.1.2 Configuration Files

Best regards
