Rstriction in number of Dimension to 5

Hi Experts,

Why there is a restriction to the number of dimensions?

One of our customer wants to evaluate profit/cost centre in more than 10 dimensions. Existing software allows them to create as many as they required.

Any work around is also appreciable

Hi!

Can u please explain, why your customer needs 10 Dimenssions and what are they ?

Also, wht is the Profit Centers they are having inside those.

Because, we can Create Templates for this Profit Centers and Group them. This can be achived through Cost center Hierarchy.

Thanks for trying to solve our problem.

We solved the issue by discussing with the client. He re-evaluated the CC structure and reduced the dimensions to 5

Hi,

As you are aware that sap b1 is for SMEs(Small and Midsize Enterprises).

So this is the product limitation that we can create only upto 5 dimensions.

If you need to need to scrutinize in cost accounting then you can opt for account segmentation.
