It seems (at least for me) that the user- and thread-specific feeds are broken. There are feed icons on user (for example: [https://forums.sdn.sap.com/profile.jspa?userID=3472354]) and thread (for example: []) pages. The tooltip for these icons indicate that it is a feed for the specific user or thread, but it actually just redirects to the main feed page where I can subscribe to individual forums.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks!
Ethan

Thank you for the analysis, if this is not being commented by an SCN admin in the near future I will try to direct their attention here.
I have enhanced the subject line a little bit.

P.S. Just realized that the original post is >1 year old...will try to get a comment now

I would assume this is affecting people using only specific RSS readers. Otherwise we would have complaints from many people and this thread would be more active. I would guess this affects only certain RSS readers or only a few people use the RSS feed in the forums.
Anyone who is experiencing this problem can write in to sdn@sap.com. Address the message to me so the first level people know to send it to me. You will also need to include your OS and the RSS reader/version you are using so that development can attempt to duplicate the error.
This one might be a sticky wicket if it s RSS specific. Don't know if it is possible to render multiple feed versions for different RSS readers.
Hi David,
No, that is incorrect. It is an issue with the SDN web page, not with the feeds or a feed reader. Try clicking on the little orange RSS icon at the bottom of this page. The page it redirects to is not an RSS feed - it is a web page that lists RSS feeds.
For a long long time I thought that this was what was meant to happen. But I was really confused about why I couldn't find the feeds for threads or users, but the threads and users seemed to think that they had their own feeds. So I asked (a year ago).
Then, more recently, I realized that the link at the bottom of the page was incorrect and if I re-jiggered it a little bit I could get to the actual RSS feed of the thread. Please take another look. Hopefully we can get this fixed!
Thanks,
Ethan
Hi all,
Is this issue dead? I understand that maybe no one uses the RSS feeds except for me, or maybe everyone just knows the workaround, but it seems like something that should be fixed.
Do others have this same problem? Can anyone successfully subscribe to this thread using the little RSS icon at the bottom of this page?
Cheers,
Ethan
If anyone is interested, I did figure out what the problem is here. The link given to the feed at the bottom of every thread is:
However, the correct link is:
I think the same holds true for the user feeds. It would be really nice if this could be fixed.
