E-Recruiting - Manager Requisition

Former Member

Hi,

I know that the Manger can create a New Requisition Request trough Manager Self-Service with Adobe Interactive Forms but, this involves Adobe licences.

If I don't use the MSS, can I create a "new view" for the manager based on the Recruiter WDA Application.

We are on EHP4.

TKS!

Daniel

Hi Roman,

I got your point.

So we don't have a similiar role in WD as the Requesting Person (report RCF_GENERATE_URLS) had in BSP, right? And this can drive us to a new development to the manager so he can be able to trigger the requisition.

Hello Daniel,

yeap there is no requestor scenario in WD as this is running via the MSS scenario with the HCMPF (which are a special solution on adobe interactive forms) now.

You could first try how far you get with the requisition creation of recruiter role. The main limitation is as said the wrong role assignment. If you do not need the separation between recruiters and managers in the support team you could probably even use the standard. This is difficult to judge without more insight into the process you want to roll out. Otherwise you might run better with a customer copy which is changed where you need it.

Hi Deepika,

You'r right we dont want to install the ADS and use Adobe Interactive Forms because we don't have license..

Do have only the option to Develop a new UI for the Manager in WDA or if I can create a new Roadmap Pattern under E-Recruiting to define a "new view" of the standard recruiter requisition.

Thanks!

Daniel,

Hiring Manager can still submit requisition from eRec start page. If you choose this rout, the delivered workflows for MSS requistion are not used in aproval process instead eRec requistion workflow is used. This eRec start page can be added in portal front end, required portal settings may vary depending on the eRec landscape.

Hello Daniel,

i think some things were mixed up here. As you are on EhP4 there are no startpages (except the candidate ones) anymore. For any reason SAP did not find it was necessary to migrate the standalone requisition request scenario from BSP to WebDynpro. I heard the issue with the needed ADS and RM licences from different customers as these licences can cost more than the e-recruiting licence and the rollout. According to my stand of knowlegde there are currently no chances that the scenario for requisition request by manager w/o MSS and HCMPF will be brough back with a future EHP5 or EhP4 SP4.

I think in your initial post you refered to the standalone requisition create application for recruiters which exists outside of the floor plan manager in EhP4. I have seen this application been called directly over a link, so it should be able to be included in portal as view. But you will have to live with some restrictions. The creator will get the recruiter instead of the manager role on requisition creation as it is a recruiter solution. Furthermore you won't have the "pass to recruiter" functionality from BSP and of course the approval scenario is not there. Last but not least you will probably need some bigger WD configuration to get it in a form the manager can handle.

Other option might be a customer development based on the recruiter solution which ensures that the creator get role manager and which avoids all othe restrictions which effect your rollout.

Theoretically there is still the BSP version which still exists and could be used in a portal view but is no longer supported. I cannot exactly say how far it is still compatible. At least the publication management was changed before the BSP development was stopped (this change was done for one of my customers and then transported in an EhP3 system). I cannot say if there were similar solutions for other customers. So I cannot recomment to youse the BSP on a long term scale.

I hope this answers your questions

Best regards

Hi Daniel,

Your question is not so clear.

What i have understood from your question is:-

1. You dont want to install Adobe in your system as you have to buy the licence.

2. You want to create a custom WDA, similar to that of "New Requisition Request form" and attach that form under Recruiter by creating a iview in portal.

Solution:-

If you dont want to use Adobe form then you can create a custom WDA without using adobe form ,which will perform the similar activity like New Requisition Request.

That custom WDA, you can attach to an iview in portal and that iview you can put under any role (i.e. either under MSS, or under Recruiter.)

Or if you want to put that " standard New Requisition Request form" under Recruiter (which is now present MSS) that also you can do by assigning New Requisition Request form to Recruiter role..

If you need some thing else, please mention your doubt more clearly.

Deepika
