    Hi,

    Go to transaction code OBA5,

Enter the application area as KI and enter

Go to new entries, enter the message number 235 - Account & requires an assignment to a CO object.

make online and batch as W- Warning. then save.

now you will not get the error, this will be a warning message.

    Regards,

    Padma

    Hi,

I believe this message is displayed for GL accounts that have been created as cost element. Once a GL account has been created as a cost element, it works as a link to the Controlling module. The system will not allow the user to proceed without posting the entry to Controlling too. For this reason, SAP will not allow you to change it to a warning message. The message will always be an error and the message will be displayed in a window.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Anit
