storage location issue

Dear folks,

I am facing this issue in ecc 6.0 the isuue is when am checking storage location in shipping tab in storage location is not automatically coming. What could be the reason.

For theis I have determined and assigned storage location at enterprise level.

Automatic determination I have done in ovl3 transaction. Still I am not getting it automatically. I have checked delivery types, and item categories also

for this delivery tye in 0vlk transaction storage location rule as MALA

in ovlp Delivery item categories it is marked as storgare location required.

Even though I am not getting storage location automatically in shipping tab sales order, where as shipping point coming automatically. Please do the need ful for this

HI

You can use Picking location determination to automatically populate the storage location in delivery.

Use the below path

SPRO--> Logistics execution--> shipping -

---

> picking -

---

> determine picking location -

---

> Assign picking location.

Here assign the combination of Shipping point + Plant + Storage Condition = Storage Location

The storage location determine in delivery based on the following combination and you do the this setting so that system determine the storage location in delivery order level.

Plant+shipping point + storage condition= storage location determination

Hi,

Generally storage location is not determined in the sales order.

Create the delivery document for your sales order your storage location will be determined over there.

For determining in the sales order you have give user exist.

Or you can put storage location in the incompletion log.

So before saving the document it will ask for the storage location.

USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION (MV45AFZB) could be used.

Hi Rack

In which shipping tab is this happening? If it is realted to creation of sales order, then ideally you should go and fill up the storage location specific shipping point determination in IMG. Be sure to make an entry for the shipping condition of the customer, the loading group of the material, the plant and storgae location from which the delivery is supposed to be done and the proposed shipping point. If one unique entry is found then the storage location would come in the sales order shipping tab.

Path for customization: SPRO>Logistics Execution>Shipping> Basic shipping functions->Shipping point and goods receiving point determination> Set up storage location dependent shipping point determination> assign shipping point according to storage location.
